"Mobility Developers Gather" Hyundai Motor Conference Next Month

Hyundai Motor Group announced that it will hold the HMG Developer Conference at COEX in Seoul on the 13th of next month.

Starting in 2021, this is the third event this year. It is an event where developers belonging to Hyundai Motor Group gather to share experiences and know-how during the transition to software-defined vehicles (SDV). External IT developers, students majoring in related fields, and industry professionals can participate by applying in advance through the website.

More than 80 developers from nine companies including Hyundai Motor, Kia, 42dot, Motional, Hyundai Mobis, and Hyundai AutoEver will participate. Song Chang-hyun, President overseeing Hyundai Motor·Kia SDV Headquarters and 42dot, will give a presentation on SDV. Yoo Ji-han, Executive Vice President of the Autonomous Driving Business Division, will speak on autonomous driving technology, while Michael Sevidic, Vice President of Motional, and Lee Sang-geun, Professor at Korea University, will give lectures on mobility services and artificial intelligence (AI), respectively.

The website will release online developer presentations, allowing anyone to watch and engage in Q&A through comments. Vlog videos of employees working on-site will also be uploaded to showcase developers’ daily lives and corporate culture. A program for counseling participants who wish to seek employment will be operated during the event period. Hyundai Motor Group has also newly established a developer community site (https://developers.hyundaimotorgroup.com/) to promote communication between internal and external developers.
