Live Reporter Screams at 'Pung' Sound... Footage Captures Israel's Airstrike Scene
Palestinian Armed Group Hamas Attacks Israel
Israel Declares War... Launches Retaliatory Operation 'Iron Sword'
Palestinian armed group Hamas attacked Israel. Amid Israel's ongoing retaliation, a foreign media outlet captured live footage of Israel airstriking a building in the Gaza Strip.
On the 7th (local time), Arab broadcaster Al Jazeera was live-reporting the situation in the Gaza Strip when the footage of the Israeli airstrike was broadcasted in full.
At that moment, Al Jazeera reporter Yumna Al Saeed was responding to the anchor's remarks and explaining the situation in the Gaza Strip when a bombing struck the building behind her. As a flash lit up the building and a loud explosion occurred, the reporter screamed and crouched down. Then, ash-colored smoke rose from the top of the building.
The anchor said, "If you are safe, explain what is happening, and if not, evacuate." The reporter, gasping for breath, replied, "I am okay. A missile attack occurred on the Palestinian Tower located in the heart of the Gaza Strip." The anchor told the reporter to "catch your breath for a moment" and then explained, "We have just witnessed Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip."
According to Newsweek, the Palestinian Tower is a high-rise apartment building in the Gaza Strip associated with Hamas. The Israeli Air Force stated in a press release that fighter jets attacked two high-rise buildings believed to serve as Hamas's military infrastructure. However, it has not been confirmed whether the buildings mentioned by the Air Force include the Palestinian Tower.
Earlier that morning, on the Jewish Sabbath, in response to Hamas's attack on southern Israel, Israel launched a retaliatory operation named "Iron Swords."

We will fight and win this war," adding, "The enemies will pay an enormous price they have never seen before." Currently, the Israeli military has declared a special state of emergency within an 80 km radius from the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the clashes between Hamas and Israel has surged to around 500 on both sides. According to dpa and other agencies, the Israeli Ministry of Health reported that over 300 residents have died and more than 1,500 have been injured in Israel due to thousands of rocket shells fired by Hamas.
