Ride Gwangju Urban Railway and Get Your Transportation Fee Payback When You Go to the ‘Chungjang Festival’
As the 2023 Nostalgic Chungjang Festival opened, Gwangju Transportation Corporation has launched a campaign to promote the use of public transportation so that citizens can enjoy the event comfortably without worrying about parking.
Gwangju Transportation Corporation announced on the 5th that it will operate a ‘Public Transportation Information Booth’ near the event venue, 5·18 Democracy Square, on the 7th, and provide citizens who visit the venue using the urban railway with transportation cards preloaded with 2,000 won.
Citizens visiting the event venue by urban railway can take a certification photo at the Chungjang Festival photo zone installed at ‘Munhwa Jeondang Station,’ the station near the venue, and present it at the corporation’s information booth to receive a gift.
The corporation plans to manage congestion through support staff at each station during the event period to prevent safety accidents caused by large crowds.
In addition, special performances at the subway station have been prepared. On the 6th and 7th, the corporation and Gwangju Tourism Organization will hold a special K-POP performance featuring exciting songs and dances at Geumnamno 4-ga Station to boost the spirits of citizens visiting the Chungjang Festival.
