Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is undergoing fasting recovery treatment, encouraged voting on the 5th, a day before the early voting day for the by-election of the Gangseo District Mayor.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel that morning, Lee said, "This election will be the starting point to stop the reckless ruling party,"
"Politics may seem like it is done by politicians, but ultimately it is done by the people. One vote exercised by you, the sovereign citizens, can decide the future of the country and my region."
