Gmarket, 'Hangeul Jangteo' Special Exhibition Until the 9th... Up to 60% Off
Gmarket and Auction, Korea's leading open marketplaces, announced on the 5th that they will hold a special event called the 'Hangul Market' until the 9th in celebration of Hangul Day, offering up to 60% discounts on products and brands with Hangul names.
Ten brands created with Korean words were selected for the event. These include ‘Dimchae,’ the old word for kimchi, and ‘Haechandeul,’ meaning a field full of sunlight, as well as ▲Hetbahn ▲Haitai ▲Joheunnneukkim ▲Pulmuone ▲Ottogi ▲Binggrae ▲Kkaekkeuthannara ▲Chamzone.
Special Hangul Day products are also offered. The ‘Hangul Limited Edition Sky Barley (500ml*24 bottles)’ is available for 12,900 KRW. This is a special edition product made to commemorate the 577th anniversary of Hangul Day. Additionally, Gmarket offers a ‘Make Your Own Hangul Stand’ (4,400 KRW) as a Hangul Day special product, while Auction sells a ‘Make Your Own Hangul Doorbell’ (6,900 KRW).
There are also daily ‘Today’s Special’ products. On the 5th, Gmarket sells ‘Binggrae Banana Flavored Milk’ (120ml*24 packs) for 54,900 KRW, and Auction offers ‘Kkaekkeuthannara Soonsu Signature’ (30m*60 rolls) for 38,600 KRW. Furthermore, a variety of products that help promote correct Hangul usage are available. These include Hangul learning tools, Hangul magnets, spelling and dictation workbooks, Hangul crafts, Hangul stamps, calligraphy supplies, Hangul picture books, as well as Hangul handkerchiefs, clothing, and cups.
Gmarket is distributing its exclusive font for free. The ‘Gmarket Sans’ font expresses characters in a simple and linear form, designed considering the stroke order of handwriting, resulting in a natural appearance. It can be freely downloaded and used.
