View original imageThe Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on the 5th that Hwang Gi-yeon, former head of the Inter-Korean Cooperation Headquarters, has been appointed as the new standing director. Lee Dong-hoon, the planning manager, was appointed as the head of the Inter-Korean Cooperation Headquarters. According to the Export-Import Bank Act, the executive director and directors are appointed and dismissed by the Minister of Strategy and Finance upon the recommendation of the bank president.
New standing director Hwang is a planning and personnel expert who has held key positions at the bank, including head of the Inter-Korean Cooperation Headquarters, planning manager, personnel manager, and head of the Washington office. He is expected to oversee risk management, digital transformation, and government trust funds (economic cooperation, inter-Korean cooperation) operations.
