Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Visits Construction Site of Hapjeong-dong Complex Cultural Welfare Facility
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the construction site of the complex cultural welfare facility, a donation facility in Hapjeong 7 District, on the morning of the 4th to check the progress of the project.
The complex cultural welfare facility is being built to provide integrated welfare services such as health management for pregnant women and infants, learning support for youth, care and leisure for the elderly residents, and independence support for the disabled.
The space will include the ‘Haetbit Center’ for supporting pregnant women and infants, ‘Hapjeong Space,’ an autonomous learning space for youth, a vocational adaptation training facility for the disabled, and senior centers including the Hyo-do Bapsang Senior Center and Hyo-do Lodging Senior Center for the elderly.
Mayor Park Gang-su stated, “We plan to integrate welfare, care, and cultural services according to life stages and provide support all in one place,” adding, “Mapo District will do its best to take responsibility for the health and welfare of all residents, from infants to the elderly.”

Meanwhile, on August 10, Mapo District announced the approval of the project implementation plan for the redevelopment project of Hapjeong 7 District. In this area, a mixed-use residential and commercial building with 7 underground floors and 38 above-ground floors will be constructed along with the complex cultural welfare facility.
