KDCA to Import Initial 400,000 Doses of Moderna Vaccine
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency announced that an initial batch of 400,000 doses of the Moderna XBB.1.5 variant-targeted vaccine for the 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccination season will be introduced on the 4th.
The Moderna variant-targeted vaccine XBB.1.5 received emergency use authorization from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety on the 26th of last month. Approximately 5 million doses are expected to be introduced sequentially.
