The ‘2023 Pabalje·Eunpyeong Nuri Festival’ is Eunpyeong-gu’s representative resident-led festival that integrates the Pabalje and Eunpyeong Nuri Festival, following last year. The festival will be held under the slogan “Flowing Eunpyeong, Heading to the Future Let’s flow.”
The theme centers on the natural flow shown by Bulgwangcheon Stream, the historical flow from the past to the present through Pabalje and Eunpyeong Nuri Festival, and the environmental cycle enjoyed together by future generations.
On the 6th, the first day of the festival will be decorated with various linked events and performances. At the special stage by Bulgwangcheon Stream, local singers will perform for residents in the ‘Eunpyeong Artists’ Yard,’ along with the ‘Orchestra Competition’ and ‘Neighborhood Singing Contest,’ which are cultural and artistic competitions for Eunpyeong residents. Additionally, events such as the ‘28th Eunpyeong Residents’ Day Ceremony’ featuring a congratulatory performance by singer Nam Jin will also take place.
On the 7th at Bulgwangcheon Stream, the ‘Eunpyeong Residents’ Walking Contest,’ the ‘2nd Residents’ Autonomy Association Harmony Festival,’ and the ‘District Choir Regular Concert’ will be held. On the same day at 1 PM, the ‘Pabalje Opening Ceremony’ will be held at the Meeting Plaza of Gupabal Station, featuring traditional Korean music performances, calligraphy brush performances, and reenactments.
From 6:30 PM on the 7th, the ‘2023 Pabalje·Eunpyeong Nuri Festival Integrated Opening Ceremony’ will take place at Bulgwangcheon Stream. The opening performance will include a media daebuk (large drum) performance and a multimedia show, along with congratulatory performances by So Chan-hwi, Park Jae-jung, Park Gun, and Sound Hills.
From the 12th to the 14th, the ‘Bulgwangcheon Experience Yard,’ a booth featuring experiences, exhibitions, and campaigns involving local residents and major institutions selected through a public contest, will be prepared.
In particular, on the 13th and 14th, residents will showcase their honed dance, singing, and musical performances at the Bulgwangcheon special stage and the busking zone in front of the Bulgwangcheon Media Center.
Also, on the 13th at the Bulgwangcheon special stage, the fusion Korean traditional music comprehensive arts performance festival ‘Eunpyeong Pungnyu Fantasy,’ which reinterprets traditional yeonhui (performing arts), will be held. On the 14th, a street dance competition will be held as a linked event to the Eunpyeong Residents’ Cultural and Artistic Competition.
From 6:30 PM on the 14th, the ‘2023 Pabalje·Eunpyeong Nuri Festival’ integrated closing ceremony will be held. Starting with a performance by the Samul Kwangdae (traditional percussion clowns), talented singers such as Lee Eun-mi, Forte-na, Kim Wan-sun, and Eun Ga-eun will appear to beautifully decorate the autumn evening of the festival’s last day.
