Gwangju Dong-gu, Dance Challenge with Chungjang Friends
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, has launched promotional activities for the success of the "20th Gwangju Nostalgic Chungjang Festival."
On the 3rd, Dong-gu announced that it recently held a dance challenge to promote the new Chungjang Festival characters, "Chungjang Friends," around the 5·18 Democracy Square.
Chungjang Friends consist of five characters: the first-generation ‘Chungjang-i’ and ‘Geumnam-i’ raising ▲Mudeungsan baby tiger ‘Sodeok-i’ ▲Sodeok-i’s companion flame ‘Buri’ ▲baby rabbit ‘Chu’ who dreams of becoming an idol ▲mischievous flying squirrel ‘Rora’ ▲and polite and honest ‘Gogo’.
District office employees transformed into Chungjang Friends performed the so-called ‘Gucci Challenge’ (an Instagram challenge dancing to the song "Gucci Boy") against the backdrop of the Democracy Bell and fountain in the square, as well as Jeonil Building 245.
A citizen said, “I visit the Chungjang Festival every year, and it’s very refreshing to see cute and charming characters that children would love newly introduced.”
