Yongin City Supports Installation of Ramps at 70 Small-Scale Community Facilities
Resolving Mobility-Impaired Accessibility Issues
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 3rd that it will support the installation of ramps accessible to wheelchairs and strollers at 70 small-scale community facilities within the area.
There have often been inconveniences for people with disabilities, adults accompanied by infants and young children, and elderly individuals using walking aids due to steps at the entrances of small-scale community facilities such as restaurants, convenience stores, hair salons, and pharmacies.
The city is currently carrying out ramp installation construction at 70 selected locations after receiving applications from business owners who wish to install ramps, and plans to complete the installations within this month.
The city decided to select another 70 locations next year to support ramp installation, as the satisfaction level among facility representatives and business owners who received support for ramp installation was high.
