[Asian Games] Lee Jaekyung and Woo Haram Advance to Diving 3m Springboard Final

Woo Haram (25, Korea Sports Promotion Foundation) and Lee Jaekyung (24, Gwangju Metropolitan City Sports Council) advanced to the men's 3m springboard diving final at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
'Korea's diving ace' Woo Haram ranked 4th with a total score of 406.10 points from six attempts in the men's 3m springboard preliminaries held on the 3rd at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Swimming Pool in Zhejiang Province, China.
Lee Jaekyung scored 425.30 points, placing 2nd, higher than Woo Haram.
Wang Zhongyuan (China), considered the strongest in this event, comfortably passed the preliminaries in 1st place with 494.05 points.
Jing Zhuyuan (China), who is mentioned as a silver medal contender, made a mistake during the 2nd attempt performing the 205B dive with a difficulty of 3.0 ? a pike maneuver involving a backward dive facing away from the pool, extending the legs, and rotating two and a half times while holding the legs with both arms ? scoring only 58.50 points.
However, she fiercely added points afterward and advanced to the final in 3rd place with 420.65 points.
In the final, Wang Zhongyuan and Jing Zhuyuan are expected to compete for the championship, while Woo Haram and Lee Jaekyung will engage in a friendly competition for 3rd place.
Seventeen athletes participated in the men's 3m springboard preliminaries, and twelve advanced to the final.
The final will be held at 8:30 PM Korean time on the same day.
In the women's 10m platform preliminaries, Jo Eunbi (28, Incheon Metropolitan City Hall) ranked 4th with 271.55 points, and Moon Nayoon (26, Jeju Provincial Office) ranked 5th with 262.00 points.
