Male canoeists Jo Gwanghui (Ulsan Metropolitan City Hall) and Jang Sangwon (Incheon Metropolitan City Hall) won a silver medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The Jo Gwanghui-Jang Sangwon duo recorded a time of 1 minute 37.690 seconds in the men's kayak double 500m canoe sprint event held on the 2nd at the Puyang Water Sports Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, finishing 2nd out of 9 teams.
The Chinese team (Bui Kai-Wang Chongkang) won the gold medal with a time of 1 minute 36.658 seconds. The difference in time was 1.042 seconds.
Jo Gwanghui and Jang Sangwon took the lead from the early stage of the race, passing the 250m mark in first place, but they were overtaken in the final stretch and lost the championship.
