Actor Choi Gwi-hwa, who played the role of Jeon Il-man, the head of the Violent Crimes Unit 1 in the movie 'The Outlaws,' was recently revealed to have supported the surgery costs of a drama staff member battling cancer.
Recently, a post titled "Thank you, senior actor Choi Gwi-hwa" was uploaded on an online community. A person identifying themselves as A, who has worked as a broadcast staff member for over 10 years, said, "I got to know senior actor Choi Gwi-hwa while working on a drama," and added, "Although the filming must have been tough and tiring, I cannot forget the kindness and care he always showed, so I wanted to express my gratitude in some way by writing this."
A said, "I had been struggling with drama staff work for several years and was diagnosed with female cancer, requiring major surgery during a very difficult time," and continued, "Since I was the only one earning money to cover my sick mother's hospital bills and living expenses, I was truly at a loss. Upon hearing about my situation, senior actor Choi Gwi-hwa willingly covered my surgery costs."
