Hanul Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 has stopped operation after 512 days and entered a 111-day 'planned preventive maintenance' period.
Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Director Lee Seyong) announced, "The 950 MW pressurized water reactor Hanul Unit 1 ceased operation at 10 a.m. on the 30th and began the 25th planned preventive maintenance."

After completing 512 days of trouble-free safe operation, Hanul Unit 1 will strengthen equipment reliability during the approximately 111-day planned preventive maintenance period through statutory inspections under the Nuclear Safety Act, equipment maintenance, facility improvements, and fuel replacement.
