During the Chuseok holiday, a man in his 70s who went on a family trip to Yangyang drowned while trying to catch fish.
According to the police and fire department on the 30th, at around 7:36 a.m., family members reported to 119 that Mr. A (71, Namyangju, Gyeonggi) had fallen into water about 1 to 2 meters deep near Namdaecheon in Eoseongjeon-ri, Hyeonbuk-myeon, Yangyang-gun. Firefighters who responded to the call, which stated "He has been missing since 6:10 a.m.," found Mr. A in cardiac arrest and immediately transported him to the hospital, but he passed away during treatment.
