Hanwoo Self-Help Fund Reveals 50 Nationwide Affordable Hanwoo Restaurants
List of Hanwoo Restaurants with Prices Over 40% Below Average Selling Price
The Hanwoo Board of Management announced on the 29th that it will disclose restaurants selling Hanwoo at reasonable and affordable prices to contribute to stabilizing Hanwoo prices during the Chuseok holiday.
The disclosed restaurants were selected based on the Hanwoo distribution trend monitoring conducted biweekly by the Hanwoo Board of Management. A total of 50 locations nationwide were chosen for selling Hanwoo at prices more than 40% lower than the average Hanwoo selling price (based on castrated sirloin) at regular restaurants.
As of the second half of August, the average Hanwoo selling prices per 100g of sirloin are 26,579 KRW for grade 1++, 21,154 KRW for grade 1+, and 20,243 KRW for grades 1 and 2. However, the average Hanwoo selling prices at the selected 50 locations are below 16,000 KRW for grade 1++, below 12,700 KRW for grade 1+, and below 12,000 KRW for grades 1 and 2, offering prices more than 40% cheaper than market prices.

The Hanwoo Board of Management plans to inspect and update this list quarterly so consumers can enjoy affordable Hanwoo at these establishments, while continuously discovering new restaurants and informing the public through its website and other channels.
