On the 27th (Korean time), Hwang Sun-woo touched the pad first with a time of 1:44.40 in the men's 200m freestyle final held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Swimming Pool in China.
In the men's 100m freestyle final on the 24th, Hwang Sun-woo had to give the gold medal to Pan Zhanle (46.97) with a time of 48.04. However, in this race, his main event (200m freestyle), Hwang Sun-woo defeated Pan Zhanle (2nd place, 1:45.28) and took first place.
