40s Man Arrested for Beating Stranger to Death at High School
A man in his 40s who fatally assaulted a stranger at a high school in Seoul has been arrested.
On the 27th, according to the legal community and the Seoul Gangseo Police Station, Judge Yoo Hwan-woo of the Seoul Southern District Court, who is in charge of warrants, conducted a detention hearing for Mr. A, a man in his 40s accused of injury resulting in death, trespassing, and theft, and issued an arrest warrant the previous day, citing "risk of flight."
Mr. A is accused of fatally assaulting a man in his 40s with punches and kicks at the entrance of a school in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 25th. Police, who responded to a report from the school security guard, searched the area around the school and arrested Mr. A, who had fled. At the time of arrest, Mr. A was intoxicated.

The police determined that neither Mr. A nor the victim had any connection to the school and that they were strangers to each other. It is understood that a dispute occurred when the victim tried to stop Mr. A from entering the school.
