Yeongdeungpo-gu, Training Live Commerce Creators
For 15 Prospective Entrepreneurs and Others, From Creator Training to Live Commerce Broadcast Debut... Planning Broadcasts and Writing Q-Sheets with Professional Show Hosts... Individual Live Broadcasts Conducted
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will operate a ‘Live Commerce Creator Training Program’ for prospective entrepreneurs and small business owners at Studio Yeongwon, a media-specialized space.
Live commerce is a service that introduces and sells products through real-time internet broadcasting.
According to the Korea Internet & Security Agency, the domestic live commerce market size reached 10 trillion won in 2023. Live commerce, which has recently become a major trend in the industry, is now an essential rather than an option.
Accordingly, the district plans to support online business models and strengthen entry into online distribution channels for prospective entrepreneurs and small business owners by utilizing Studio Yeongwon.
Studio Yeongwon is a complex media space housing a media room, seminar room, and shared office. It is equipped with various devices such as high-quality filming cameras, lighting panels, microphones, and chroma key, making it suitable for professional video shooting and editing. The district actively supports many residents’ online creative activities by operating specialized educational programs along with providing space and equipment support at Studio Yeongwon.
This program is conducted as a one-stop process from creator training education to live commerce broadcasting debut.
The creator training education will be held over three sessions from November 6 to November 8. With a professional teaching staff composed of current show hosts, practical training will cover ▲broadcast planning and cue sheet script writing ▲broadcast voice training ▲product handling by category ▲broadcast platform simulation.
The live commerce sessions will take place over two days, from November 9 to November 10, featuring individual live broadcasts aimed at selling and promoting actual company products. The broadcasts will be streamed based on Grip, an online live commerce platform.
Additionally, the streamed videos will be edited by experts into short-form content (short videos around 1 minute) to be used as marketing tools for companies.
The application period is from September 25 to October 13. The number of participants is limited to 15, with one person allowed per company. Eligibility includes local-based win-win companies, social ventures, small business owners, and prospective entrepreneurs planning to enter the online distribution market or wishing to sell and promote products through live commerce. Those interested can submit an application form via an online Google form on the Yeongdeungpo-gu Office website.
