Hospitals and Clinics Establish Emergency Medical System for COVID-19 Treatment
On the 25th, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has established a comprehensive plan for accident response and support for marginalized groups during the Chuseok holiday period.
During the holiday period, the city will organize a comprehensive situation room with the following teams: ▲Medical treatment and infectious disease response team ▲Disaster safety response team ▲Support team for marginalized groups ▲Protection team for low-income residents ▲Cleaning response team ▲Emergency water supply system team ▲Traffic and transportation response team ▲Situation maintenance team, maintaining a 24-hour emergency response system.
In particular, to establish an emergency medical system during the holiday, the city will operate ‘Open Medical Institutions’ targeting 133 hospitals and pharmacies within the jurisdiction, and to respond to COVID-19 infectious disease, the Icheon Public Health Center’s screening clinic and oral antiviral prescription institutions will continue to operate.
Additionally, to prevent safety accidents, safety management status of multi-use facilities such as large marts will be inspected, and visits and encouragement will be conducted for social welfare facilities. Furthermore, on-site inspections will be carried out for price surveys of holiday seasonal products and to establish distribution order.
