EM&I to Hold November Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders... "Strengthening OLED and Electronic Materials Business"
EM&I announced on the 25th that it will hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on November 3 to appoint internal and external directors to strengthen its OLED (organic light-emitting diode) and electronic materials business divisions.
EM&I disclosed on the 22nd that it will hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to add business purposes and appoint directors and auditors. Kim Hye-min, EM&I’s General Sales Team Leader, was nominated as an internal director candidate. Since 2017, Team Leader Kim has been working alongside EM&I CEO Ko Chang-hoon in OLED business sales.
External director candidates include Kwon Jang-hyuk, a professor in the Department of Information Display at Kyung Hee University, and Jin Byung-doo, a professor in the Department of Polymer System Engineering at Dankook University. Notably, Kwon Jang-hyuk, a former senior researcher at Samsung SDI, published a paper on developing blue devices with enhanced efficiency using delayed fluorescence materials in 'Nature Photonics,' the world’s leading academic journal in the field of optics.
EM&I is developing QD-OLED (Quantum Dot) materials, which are attracting attention as next-generation display materials, and has filed numerous patents. By appointing OLED field experts as internal and external directors, cooperation is expected in the development of OLED materials, the company’s main business, and its business direction.
Lee Hyun, an assistant professor in the Department of Global Trade Management at Shinhan University’s College of Global Business, is expected to be appointed as auditor. Additionally, an agenda item to add the manufacture, processing, and sales of hazardous substances and related products to the business purposes will also be proposed.
