Every year during times when sharing is needed, such as Seollal and Chuseok, the Yeongam Branch practices ethical and transparent management through volunteer activities targeting social welfare facilities in the region.
This Chuseok, they selected Sarang-ui Jip, a rehabilitation facility for elderly people suffering from severe geriatric diseases, and conducted volunteer activities such as taking the elderly for walks and cleaning around the facility.
A representative of Sarang-ui Jip said, “During the Chuseok holiday, when the elderly can easily feel isolated, the sincerity and warm hearts shared by the employees of the Korea Rural Community Corporation are a great help.”
Branch Manager Lim Moon-hee stated, “Since the corporation’s ethical and transparent activities greatly influence trust during project implementation, we will strive even harder to meet the expectations of local residents by carrying out various social contribution activities as a public enterprise.”
