Jeon Woong-tae (Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall), the leading figure in Korean men's modern pentathlon, became the first Korean athlete to win two gold medals at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
On the 24th, Jeon Woong-tae won the gold medal in the men's individual modern pentathlon event at the Hangzhou Asian Games held at the Puyang Inhu Sports Center in Hangzhou, China.
The modern pentathlon is an event where a single athlete competes in fencing, swimming, equestrian, and laser-run (running + shooting).
Previously, Jeon Woong-tae, along with Lee Ji-hoon and Jung Jin-hwa (both from LH), secured first place in the team event.
