President Yoon Returns Home After New York Visit... Expected to Explain Achievements Next Week
President Yoon Suk-yeol, who completed a 4-night, 6-day visit to New York, USA, returned to Korea on the 23rd.
On the evening of the same day, President Yoon arrived at Seongnam Seoul Airport aboard Air Force One, the presidential aircraft, accompanied by his wife, First Lady Kim Keon-hee.
At the airport, Minister of the Interior and Safety Lee Sang-min, People Power Party leader Kim Ki-hyun, floor leader Yoon Jae-ok, Presidential Chief of Staff Kim Dae-gi, Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Lee Jin-bok, and Second Vice Foreign Minister Oh Young-joo welcomed President Yoon and the First Lady. President Yoon first greeted Minister Lee with a handshake, then shook hands and exchanged brief conversations with the other welcoming guests, including Leader Kim.
During the weekend, President Yoon plans to receive briefings and attend to pressing political issues. It is also expected that he will discuss responses to the opposition party's motion to dismiss Prime Minister Han Duck-soo.
