Xi Jinping: "China and Han, Inseparable Partners... Stability of Both Countries is a Common Interest"
Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo on the 23rd and said, "China-South Korea relations are close neighbors who cannot move away from each other and inseparable cooperative partners."
According to a 1 minute and 44 seconds video released by China Central Television (CCTV), President Xi emphasized during his meeting with Prime Minister Han, who visited China to attend the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games at the State Guesthouse in Xihu, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, that "stable and substantive China-South Korea relations align with the common interests of both countries and their peoples and help promote regional peace and development."
President Xi also mentioned that relations between the two countries have rapidly developed since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992. He added, "This year marks the beginning of a new 30 years for both countries," and said, "We will strive to develop the strategic cooperative partnership in line with the times."
