In relation to the case of a teacher at Uijeongbu Howon Elementary School who passed away by suicide two years ago after suffering from malicious complaints by a parent, the local Nonghyup where the parent works posted a condolence wreath, leading to a flood of protests. Consequently, the local Nonghyup issued an apology on its website.
On the 22nd, the local Nonghyup expressed in an apology statement, "We mourn the teacher who passed away so tragically beyond words," and added, "We humbly accept the disappointment and anger directed at Nonghyup."

Additionally, some citizens sent condolence wreaths as a form of protest against the parent.
It is currently reported that the parent has been placed on standby and suspended from duty by order.
Previously, in 2016, when the parent’s son injured his hand using a cutter knife during class, the parent repeatedly demanded treatment costs from the teacher Lee, who was the homeroom teacher at the time, filing complaints.
Although the School Safety Mutual Aid Association paid the treatment costs to the parent twice, the parent continued to contact teacher Lee, who had taken a leave of absence and enlisted in the military. The teacher gave the parent a total of 4 million won in eight installments of 500,000 won each as treatment costs.
