An 80-Year-Old Woman Missing in Changwon Rescued After Being Trapped in Flooded River
An elderly woman in her 80s who went missing near Yangdeok-dong, Masanhwoin-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, on the 21st was rescued after about 12 hours.
According to the Changwon Fire Headquarters on the 22nd, Ms. A, who had gone missing, left her home around 2 a.m. that day and did not return until morning.
At around 8:52 a.m., the police, who received a report from her guardian, began searching for the missing person.

View original imageWhile checking nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV), the police confirmed at around 1:20 p.m. that Ms. A was drifting away in Sanho Stream and requested cooperation from the fire station's ambulance team.
Ms. A, who was rescued at around 2:55 p.m., was holding onto a pillar supporting a bridge about 100 meters downstream inside the river.
At that time, the water level of Sanho Stream was reportedly raised to adult knee height due to earlier rainfall.

Ms. A showed symptoms of hypothermia but had no injuries other than minor abrasions and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
