President Yoon Suk-yeol approved a plan on the 21st (local time) in New York, USA, to waive toll fees on nationwide expressways for four days during this year's Chuseok holiday period from September 28 to October 1.
The Presidential Office spokesperson stated on the same day, "President Yoon has just approved the '2023 Chuseok Holiday Expressway Toll Waiver Plan' which was resolved at the 39th Cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister on the 19th."
Earlier, the government had resolved at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Han Duck-soo on the 19th to waive expressway tolls from 0:00 on September 28 to 24:00 on October 1.
During this period, Hi-Pass users will automatically have their toll fees set to zero when passing through Hi-Pass lanes.
