On the 22nd, S-Oil announced that it held a Chuseok event called ‘Sharing Love Songpyeon’ at its headquarters building in Mapo-gu, Seoul, in collaboration with the Sarangui Jeonhwa Mapo Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
On this day, CEO Anwar Al Hizazi and about 100 employees made 500 sets of Songpyeon and Chuseok gift packages worth approximately 50 million KRW, and personally delivered the gifts to low-income families recommended by the nearby Gongdeok-dong and Dohwa-dong community centers.
In addition to employees, Saudi students and children from nearby workplace daycare centers also participated in the volunteer activities, spending time together with neighbors in the local community.
CEO Anwar Al Hizazi said, “I understand that Korean Chuseok is a meaningful holiday to celebrate the autumn harvest and share food with neighbors,” adding, “We will continue to make efforts so that neighbors can feel warmth and not loneliness through S-Oil’s small sincerity.”
