Dongjak-gu Activates 'Cleaning Measures' for Chuseok Holiday... "Check Disposal Dates"
Operation of Cleaning Complaint Situation Room During Holiday Period... Collection Suspended on September 29-30
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 22nd that it will implement a 'Comprehensive Cleaning Plan' to ensure residents can spend the Chuseok holiday in a pleasant environment.
This comprehensive cleaning plan will be carried out in three stages: before the holiday, during the holiday, and after the holiday, focusing on ▲collection of household waste ▲operation of special task forces ▲disinfection of public restrooms.
First, a 'Neighborhood Chuseok Cleaning' will be conducted by the 27th, before the holiday. In particular, residents will be informed in advance that garbage disposal will be suspended for two days from the 29th to the 30th.
During the suspension period, household waste, food waste, and recyclables should be stored at each home or business and can be disposed of starting from October 1st (including substitute holidays).
From the 28th to October 3rd, during the Chuseok holiday, a cleaning complaint situation room, the district office clean task force, and a special cleaning countermeasure team will operate to conduct special collection of garbage on major roads and in areas with frequent complaints.
Additionally, about 80 environmental officers will be organized into special duty teams during the holiday to promote 'Chuseok Street Cleaning.' They will simultaneously clean the National Cemetery and roads around residential areas to minimize inconvenience to residents.
Along with this, internal and external disinfection and cleaning of 16 public restrooms in the district will be carried out, facilities will be inspected, and convenience supplies will be stocked and replenished.
After the holiday, starting October 4th, all personnel and equipment will be deployed to collect accumulated garbage and conduct final cleaning by neighborhood.
For cleaning complaints during the Chuseok holiday, residents can contact the district office's comprehensive situation room or the Cleaning Administration Division by phone.
