Mediana Obtains New Certification as an Excellent Human Resource Development Institution in 2023
Mediana has been selected as an Excellent Human Resource Development Institution.
Mediana (Chairman Gil Mun-jong), a global specialist company in patient monitoring devices, defibrillators, body composition analyzers, and consumable catheters, announced on the 20th that it has newly obtained certification in the category of Employment First, Learning Later companies in the '2023 Best HRD (Human Resource Development) Certification Project,' jointly hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and organized by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
This certification system is a government initiative that sets exemplary standards to promote investment in human resource development and enhance competitiveness, selecting and certifying outstanding institutions that achieve these standards. Certified institutions receive various benefits for three years, including exemption from regular labor inspections, additional points in public bidding, and promotion of certified institution cases.
Since 2009, Mediana has signed industry-academic cooperation and business agreements with Wonju Medical High School, Wonju Mirae High School, and Seoul Youngnak U-Health High School to foster talent and provide education and training. The company conducts annual recruitment contracts to offer priority employment opportunities to high school graduates. Additionally, to secure education time for employees who are employed first and learn later, the company adjusts working hours, provides paid leave, and fully supports education expenses, focusing on human resource development, according to the company.
A company representative stated, “Medical devices require specialized expertise, so we focus on continuous education after hiring to improve job skills and competencies.” They added, “Employees who grow through such talent development training will greatly contribute not only to their personal development according to their job and rank but also to securing the company’s infrastructure.”

Meanwhile, the company has received approval from the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency for the manufacturing item license of the animal medical device patient monitoring device (M40 VET).
