One More Accomplice Arrested in Gwangju Jewelry Store Theft
A teenager who conspired to steal precious metals from a jewelry store in Gwangju was caught by the police.
The Dongbu Police Station in Gwangju announced on the 19th that they arrested A (a teenager) on charges of special theft.
A is accused of stealing precious metals worth about 60 million won, including gold bracelets, from a jewelry store located on Chungjang-ro, Dong-gu, Gwangju, at around 1:52 a.m. on the 25th of last month.
At the time of the crime, A was waiting near the jewelry store and joined the accomplices after they finished the crime, sharing some of the stolen precious metals.
The three accomplices broke the reinforced glass of the jewelry store with a hammer they had prepared in advance, stole the precious metals displayed in the showcase, and were all caught within about 40 minutes.
Two of them are currently under detention and investigation.

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant while investigating whether A has committed other crimes.
