Kocca Wins Social Sector Award for ESG Innovation Policy
Efforts to Promote Barrier-Free Access Recognized
The Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 18th that it won the Social Sector Award at the Korea ESG Innovation Policy Awards held on the 15th at Korea Railroad Corporation in Daejeon. It was recognized for efforts to spread barrier-free initiatives, including ▲support for participation of artists with disabilities and development of barrier-free projects ▲research on improving game accessibility for people with disabilities ▲R&D on cultural technology supporting exhibitions and viewing for people with hearing and visual impairments ▲the country's first OTT broadcast content audio description support ▲sign language simultaneous interpretation support at institutional events. The expansion of barrier-free initiatives into the content industry and application to major projects through the amendment of the Content Industry Promotion Act also played a key role.

Cho Hyun-rae, President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "Following last year's Excellence Award in the Governance category, this is our second consecutive year receiving an award," adding, "As the comprehensive professional institution for K-content, we will continuously improve content accessibility and create an environment where everyone can equally enjoy content." The agency plans to continue building mutual cooperation systems with organizations related to people with disabilities and leading content companies, and to enhance accessibility to content for people with disabilities through subtitle and audio description support in broadcast content production support projects and support for e-sports competitions for people with disabilities.
