Gyeongbuk Technopark Achieves ‘Highest Grade’ for Management Performance Evaluation for 3 Consecutive Years
Gyeongbuk Technopark (President Ha In-seong) announced on the 17th that it has received the highest grade (S grade) in the ‘2023 Technopark Management Performance Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups targeting 19 technoparks nationwide.
Gyeongbuk Technopark achieved the highest grade (S grade) in the 2023 management performance evaluation following 2021 and 2022, marking the first time since its establishment that it has earned the highest grade (S grade) for three consecutive years in the Technopark management performance evaluation.
The Technopark Management Performance Evaluation is conducted under the ‘Special Act on Support for Industrial Technology Complexes’ targeting 19 technoparks nationwide to ensure institutional management efficiency and transparency and to strengthen corporate support capabilities. The evaluation is conducted in three areas: major projects, institutional management, and policy contribution.
In the 2023 evaluation, Gyeongbuk Technopark was recognized for its clear achievements in the institutional management sector. It received excellent evaluations for its efforts and achievements in institutional management, including establishing management strategies linked to the policy directions of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Gyeongbuk Province, strengthening communication efforts with stakeholders through public participation-type, policy cooperation-type, and internally led communication, building a systematic inspection and management system centered on department evaluations, and ESG management achievements such as certification of the human rights management system and extension of family-friendly certification.
In terms of project operation, it was recognized as the leading region in creating a regional smart manufacturing innovation ecosystem by being the only one nationwide to receive the highest grade (S grade) for four consecutive years in the ‘Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Project Performance Evaluation.’
Furthermore, in the government evaluation of 32 regulatory free zones nationwide, the ‘Next-Generation Battery Recycling Regulatory Free Zone’ and the ‘Smart Green Logistics Regulatory Free Zone,’ both of which are overseen by Gyeongbuk Technopark as the general coordinator, were evaluated as excellent (highest grade) zones. In particular, the ‘Next-Generation Battery Recycling Regulatory Free Zone’ was selected as an excellent (highest grade) zone for four consecutive years nationwide for the first time, contributing to the creation of the secondary battery industry ecosystem.
Ha In-seong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, said, “It is more meaningful as it is the first time since establishment to receive the highest grade (S grade) in the Technopark management performance evaluation for three consecutive years,” and added, “I would like to express my gratitude to the executives and employees who have done their best in their respective roles.”
