A Man in His 50s Arrested for Wielding a Weapon in Front of Lee Jae-myung's Hunger Strike Site
Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was at the protest site where he was on a hunger strike when a woman in her 50s who allegedly wielded a weapon at the police was arrested.
The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul arrested Kim Mo (56) on the 16th on charges including obstruction of official duties causing injury. Judge Kim Seong-won of the Seoul Southern District Court issued an arrest warrant, stating there was a risk of flight.
According to the police, on the 14th at 7:52 p.m., Kim was shouting in front of the protest site at the National Assembly main building and refused to comply with the police's request to leave. She is accused of wielding a weapon and injuring two female police officers belonging to the National Assembly Security Unit.
