Gwangju Seo-gu Hosts Movie Viewing Event for Dementia Patients and Families
Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, invited about 30 dementia patients and their families on the 14th to hold a movie viewing program aimed at relieving depression and stress.
According to Seo-gu on the 15th, the event involved watching the movie "Daljjakjigeunhae" and sharing various experiences and caregiving information among the participants.

The participants expressed, "We had a happy time communicating with other families after a long time and enjoying cultural activities together."
Jung In-guk, director of the Seo-gu Dementia Safety Center, said, "We hope this program will bring vitality and energy to the daily lives of dementia patients and their families and serve as social support enabling them to continue living in the community."
Meanwhile, the dementia family self-help group is a gathering that reduces the psychological and emotional burden of families caring for dementia patients and allows families to communicate dementia-related information. It operates with a regular monthly meeting and a weekly hobby activity support meeting.
