Pyeongtaek Port Authority to Conduct Environmental Cleanup Around Port Hinterland Complex on the 14th

View original imageThe Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority, along with related organizations such as Gyeonggi Province, Pyeongtaek City, and the Pyeongtaek Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office, conducted the ‘Gyeonggi Bada Hamkke海’ environmental cleanup activity on the western wharf coastal area of Pyeongtaek Port on the 14th.
Gyeonggi Bada Hamkke海 is a marine environment conservation initiative promoted through a business agreement between Gyeonggi Province and 11 public institutions under five coastal cities and provinces, aimed at creating a clean Gyeonggi sea.
On this day, the Pyeongtaek Port Authority, together with companies located in the port hinterland complex, carried out a trash picking (plogging) activity along a 1km section of the western wharf area of Pyeongtaek Port.
Kim Seok-gu, President of the Pyeongtaek Port Authority, said, "This is the third environmental cleanup activity I have participated in following those in March and June," and promised, "The Pyeongtaek Port Authority will continue to devote efforts to solving environmental issues through one more cleanup activity during the remaining period of this year."

Previously, in March and June, the Pyeongtaek Port Authority, together with Gyeonggi Province, Pyeongtaek City, the Pyeongtaek Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office, the Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation, the Pyeongtaek Coast Guard, and companies in the port hinterland complex, jointly collected about 4 tons of trash from the port hinterland complex.
