KHNP Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head: Lee Seyong) announced, "Hanul Unit 4 (Pressurized Water Reactor, 1,000 MW class) experienced a leak in the secondary side component cooling water system piping. To repair this, the output will be reduced starting from 6 PM on September 14, and power generation will be stopped around 1 AM on September 16."
The component cooling water system is a non-safety facility that cools secondary side equipment such as the main feedwater pump in the secondary side component cooling water system.
