Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Gijae) announced that to create a clean and pleasant living environment, it has installed an additional 27 mobile CCTVs and 11 logo projectors this year in habitual illegal dumping areas within the district, establishing a total of 119 locations equipped with an 'Unmanned Illegal Dumping Prevention System.'
Since launching this project in 2018, the district currently operates 14 fixed CCTVs, 64 mobile CCTVs, and 41 logo projectors, focusing on areas with frequent illegal dumping and complaints or disputes.
The newly installed mobile CCTVs at 27 locations?including two each in Mok 1-dong and Mok 3-dong, four in Sinwol 1-dong, nine in Sinwol 3-dong, three in Sinjeong 1-dong, and seven in Sinjeong 4-dong?offer real-time recording and 24-hour surveillance without blind spots through sensor-triggered automatic recording.
Additionally, when illegal dumping is detected, an automatic warning broadcast is simultaneously transmitted, greatly enhancing resident awareness. Unlike fixed cameras, mobile CCTVs can be relocated without additional installation costs, making it easy to change monitoring locations.
Furthermore, reflecting that illegal dumping frequently occurs in dark, less trafficked alleyways, the district installed 11 additional logo projectors?three in Sinwol 1-dong, four in Sinwol 3-dong, and one each in Mok 1-dong, Mok 4-dong, Sinwol 2-dong, and Sinwol 7-dong. Logo projectors are promotional devices that project desired images and text using LED lights onto various surfaces such as floors and walls. The district plans to effectively display anti-dumping messages using legible fonts, colors, and images.
