Final Nominees to Be Announced on the 3rd of Next Month
Jeong Sora's short story collection Cursed Bunny has been shortlisted as a 2023 National Book Award finalist in the translation category. The National Book Award, operated by the National Book Foundation, is considered the most prestigious literary award in the United States. Translator Anton Hur handled the English translation, which was published by Algonquin Books, a division of the American Hachette Book Group.
According to Greenbook Agency, a copyright brokerage firm, the English version of Cursed Bunny was included among the 10 finalists for the 2023 National Book Award. It is the only work from Asia to be shortlisted. The final nominees will be announced on October 3, and the winners will be revealed on November 15.
