Welcoming autumn, Seongbuk-gu in Seoul (District Mayor Lee Seung-ro) is hosting various events across the area. On the 16th, a range of events await residents, from the ‘Kkijaengi Festival’ for children and youth to the ‘Bukhansan Dullegil Forest Concert’ that the whole family can enjoy.
The ‘2nd Sodamsodam Laughter Market’ will be held from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM around Bogukmun-ro 16-gil. It is hosted by the Jeongneunggol Merchants Cooperative and sponsored by Hanyang Saemaeul Geumgo and Seokyeong University, among others.
On this day, a food market and flea market will be set up, with dance time and ukulele performances to liven up the atmosphere. Additionally, free experience programs such as ▲face painting ▲trampoline ▲bracelet making ▲Cheongsu Library stamp tour will be offered, creating a space for children and the whole family to participate together. The venue can be accessed by exiting at Exit 1 of Bukhansan Bogukmun Station on the Ui-Sinseol Line and proceeding via Bogukmun-ro 18-gil.
Seongbuk-gu, home to eight universities, is organizing an event for young adults. On the 16th, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the ‘Seongbuk Youth Day Festival’ will take place at Seongbukcheon Fountain Maru (Exit 2 of Hansung University Station).
Along with the opening ceremony, dance, hip-hop, and band performances by university clubs located in Seongbuk-gu will be held, and a congratulatory performance by a band of isolated youth will add significance to the event.

From 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the same day, the ‘Seongbuk-gu Children and Youth Kkijaengi Festival’ will be held at the Seongbuk-gu Office’s Baram Madang and Lawn Madang.
Along with congratulatory performances, singing and dance competitions by 16 teams selected through non-face-to-face video screening will take place. In addition to the play zone, various experience booths such as one-day major experiences with university student mentors, calligraphy, and miniature making using 3D pens will be prepared, inviting participation from children and youth.
The Jeongneung 4-dong Residents’ Autonomous Committee has prepared a ‘Forest Concert’ to create a communication space for resident harmony. The event will start at 5:00 PM at the Bukhansan Taegyo Forest Deck (towards the hiking trail from Solsaem-ro 25ga-gil 18).

The festival will begin with a pungmul performance by the Broadcasting and Communications High School Gyeongdong Campus Pungmul Club, followed by performances including Nanta, a string quartet, and singing, creating a festival space for the whole family to enjoy.
