On the 14th, Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency announced that they will recruit 100 participants by the 5th of next month for the project "Expanding Overseas Employment and Startup Opportunities for Gyeonggi Youth."
The target locations include 9 cities in 7 countries: ▲Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) ▲Philippines (Manila) ▲Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh) ▲Taiwan (Taipei) ▲India (New Delhi, Bengaluru) ▲Japan (Fukuoka) ▲Uzbekistan (Tashkent), with a total of 36 companies involved.
The program offers career exploration opportunities through on-site experience at overseas companies and operates various programs over 4 weeks, including local practical language education, one-on-one mentoring and job training, and practical training in trade marketing at local domestic companies.
In particular, participants can join the overseas Korean business participation program by World-OKTA (World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations), practical trade and marketing education programs through the Gyeonggi Business Center (GBC), and experience programs with hiring demand companies connected to overseas branches of Globalization Partners.
Applications can be submitted online at the Jobaba app (apply.jobaba.net). After document screening, aptitude tests, and interviews, the final participants will be confirmed on October 31. Each participant will receive support of 8.5 million KRW covering accommodation, meals, airfare, and other expenses.
Lee Min-woo, Director of the Investment and Trade Division of the province, said, "The program is designed to allow participants to understand local conditions and directly experience company work, providing a great opportunity for youth struggling to prepare for overseas employment." He added, "Priority will be given to youth preparing for independence, youth from multicultural families, and those with a history of business closure after startup. We look forward to many applications from ambitious youth in the province."
