6000 Units in 27 Years... The Secret Behind Hyundai's Sales Mastery is ○○
Gwak Gyeong-rok, Sales Manager at Hyundai Motor Suwon West Branch (photo), achieved a cumulative sales record of 6,000 units as of the 24th of last month. Since the company implemented its sales honor award system, only eight people have reached this milestone.
He joined Hyundai Motor in 1996 and achieved this record after 27 years of working in the field. The company recognizes and rewards sales milestones through its honor award system: 2,000 units sold earns the title of Sales Artisan, 3,000 units Sales Master, and 4,000 units Sales Expert. Selling 5,000 units grants the title of Sales Grandmaster.
Manager Gwak said, "It is an honor to have achieved the 6,000-unit sales mark, which once seemed distant," adding, "Setting a goal to sell just one car a day accumulated over time to reach 6,000 units."
He cited maintaining a beginner’s mindset as the key to his sales success. He explained, "Sales is a job where you have to start everything anew on the first day of every month," and added, "During my 27 years of work, I have always made efforts to start over from the beginning, with the mindset of a newcomer, which has been the secret to winning customers’ hearts."
