Naver Band Revamped... Added 'Like' and 'Comment' Features
Naver Band expands communication among users by applying new features.
On the 13th, Naver Band announced that it has revamped the profile design and enhanced overall functions to allow users to leave 'likes' and comments.
Naver Band confirmed that users show high interest not only in common topics related to the bands they have joined but also in the individual profiles of members participating in the bands, leading to the profile function overhaul.
Through this update, it provides a comprehensive user experience with various profile features including ▲design improvement in the form of photo cards ▲profile photo history accumulation function ▲interactive features such as likes and comments ▲profile update notifications.
The new profile adopts a photo card-style design, allowing the photos selected as profile pictures to be presented more stylishly compared to the previous profile environment. Also, whereas previously only one photo could be registered as a profile picture, after the update, existing photos are not deleted when a new profile photo is registered but accumulated in chronological order.
To allow users to check members' profile changes at a glance, a list of members who have changed their profiles is provided at the top of the bands the user has joined, supporting more active communication. Related functions have also been added so users can leave reactions such as likes and comments on members' profile changes.
Naver Band will additionally provide a ‘Story’ feature by November, enabling profiles to be expressed not only through photos but also in the form of posts. Stories provided at the bottom of profiles will allow users to include desired content through various media such as text, photos, and videos.

Lee Jeong-min, leader of Naver Community CIC, said, “In addition to the existing usability of Band, which focused on communication centered on content matching the meeting topics, the new profile features now allow users to record and present various moments of daily life such as family, travel, and pets. Considering the service characteristic that profiles are only visible to members of the bands joined, we expect to provide a service experience where users can naturally share their appearances and daily lives with close members.”
