OB Beer, 'Cass Hope Forest' Tree Planting Activity in Mongolia
OB Beer announced on the 12th that it conducted a tree-planting volunteer activity in the 'Cass Forest of Hope' area located in Erden Sum, Mongolia, in collaboration with the international environmental organization Blue Asia.
The Cass Forest of Hope project is a large-scale environmental improvement initiative that plants trees in Mongolia, the source of fine dust and yellow dust severely affecting the Northeast Asia region. It is OB Beer's representative environmental campaign and has been ongoing for 14 years since 2010 to prevent desertification in Mongolia caused by climate change.
The volunteer team was divided into groups to carry out planting work by planting poplar saplings in the fields and watering work by drawing water with buckets from wells they dug themselves to water the trees. OB Beer not only conducts afforestation projects but also carries out initiatives to help Mongolian environmental refugees who have lost their living grounds due to desertification become self-reliant. To assist these environmental refugees in discovering income-generating projects on their own, OB Beer supports raw materials for Mongolian wool crafts and facilities for producing dried meat.
