Daejeon City Conducts Special Inspections of Local Businesses Handling Japanese Seafood
On the 12th, Daejeon City announced that it will conduct special inspections on 625 local businesses that import and handle Japanese seafood until December 5.
The special inspections will be carried out through the formation and operation of inspection teams in five autonomous districts. In addition, the Janghang branch of the National Fishery Products Quality Management Service and the government’s special origin inspection team will sequentially conduct at least one inspection per business.
Daejeon City plans to focus on whether the businesses properly label the origin of the products, the accuracy of the labeling content, and any violations of the Origin Labeling Act during the special inspections.
