Gwangju Dong-gu, Youth Busking Competition 'TinTin Busking' a Great Success
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 11th that it successfully held the youth busking competition ‘Teen Teen Busking’ at the 5·18 Democracy Square to ensure the successful hosting of the ‘2nd Gwangju Busking World Cup.’
‘Teen Teen Busking,’ one of the citizen participation pre-buzz programs, is a music contest featuring talented and capable youth musicians, serving as a ‘preview of the Gwangju Busking World Cup.’
On this day, 12 teams from across the country, including Seoul, Daegu, and Cheongju, competed fiercely. The results were ▲ Grand Prize ‘Avengers’ ▲ Gold Prize ‘KJN Power Dance’ ▲ Silver Prize ‘Once Band’ ▲ Bronze Prize ‘Spinach (Seupinachi),’ and the Encouragement Prize was awarded to eight teams including Cheongju Agricultural High School.
The Grand Prize-winning team will receive the Gwangju Metropolitan City Superintendent of Education Award, a cash prize of 1,000,000 KRW, and the special privilege to perform on the congratulatory stage at the finals of the Gwangju Busking World Cup on October 7. One team each for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Prizes, as well as the eight Encouragement Prize teams, will be awarded the Dong-gu Mayor’s Award and a cash prize.
