GeoYoung to Build 'Sudogwon New Hub Center' in Incheon... "Preparing for the Smart Logistics Era"
GeoYoung, the largest pharmaceutical distribution group in Korea, announced on the 11th that it will build a new key logistics center called the 'Capital Region New Hub Center' in Incheon to strengthen its logistics capabilities in the metropolitan area.
The Capital Region New Hub Center will be built on a scale of 15,000㎡ in the Wonnchang-dong area of Seo-gu, Incheon. Full-scale construction is set to begin this month, with completion targeted for August next year.
The establishment of this center aims to respond more quickly and effectively to the continuously increasing demand for pharmaceuticals from domestic and international clients, while also distributing the pharmaceutical processing volume of the existing Incheon Hub Center, which has reached its limit. It also seeks to enhance the efficiency of distribution operations with six self-operated metropolitan area distribution centers (DCs). Furthermore, by building and operating a smart logistics center, GeoYoung plans to improve the speed and efficiency of logistics management, preparing for the era of smart logistics and leading pharmaceutical logistics ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
GeoYoung is also considering a mid- to long-term plan to establish another 'Capital Region Second Hub Logistics Center' in the eastern part of the metropolitan area to maximize pharmaceutical distribution capabilities in the capital region.
