Pulmuone Introduces Hydrogen Electric Trucks in Logistics Sites... "First in the Food Industry"
Two More Refrigerated Hydrogen Electric Trucks Next Year
Expansion to About 76 Units by 2030
"Leading Carbon Emission Reduction"

The hydrogen electric trucks were first deployed with two units at the logistics sites, being used to transport room temperature products such as dried noodles and gim across two logistics routes: Chungbuk Eumseong to Siwha, and Eumseong to Yeoju.
Pulmuone plans to additionally introduce two refrigerated hydrogen electric trucks capable of transporting refrigerated products next year. Furthermore, the company aims to expand the number of room temperature and refrigerated hydrogen electric trucks to approximately 76 units by 2030.
Although hydrogen electric trucks require somewhat higher initial investment costs compared to conventional diesel vehicles, the company explained that they introduced them to large freight trucks, which emit significant greenhouse gases, as part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management that considers the environment.
The hydrogen electric trucks introduced by Pulmuone have received certification as Class 1 low-emission vehicles from the Ministry of Environment. They operate by generating electricity from hydrogen while delivering performance similar to existing diesel trucks, making them carbon emission-free. Their shorter refueling time compared to electric vehicles makes them convenient for logistics use.
Pulmuone expects that the introduction of these two hydrogen electric trucks will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 163 tons annually. The company explained that this amount is equivalent to the forest absorption effect of planting 63,000 30-year-old pine trees over an area equal to 21 soccer fields annually.
